Blending millennia-old Chinese textile heritage, exquisite intangible craftsmanship and contemporary artistic aesthetics, prestigious Hong Kong luxury fashion house ISABELLE.C staged a remarkable runway presentation at China Institute Fashion Week (CIFW) during New York Fashion Week 2026. Headlining the brand’s New York debut is its exclusive showcase at China Institute Fashion Night, highlighting a brand-new collection that reinterprets traditional Chinese craftsmanship through a global modern design lens.
Centered on the poetic creative theme “A Path of Blossoms, Dreams in Motion”, ISABELLE.C’s Fashion Night presentation delivered an immersive fashion narrative that seamlessly integrates artistic inspiration, ancestral handcraft techniques and modern tailoring aesthetics. The collection fully embodies the brand’s persistent vision: to awaken the vitality of time-honored Chinese artistry and ancient textile craftsmanship, and translate profound Eastern cultural heritage into an elegant, internationally recognized contemporary fashion language.

Guided by its core brand philosophy “ART IS FASHION”, ISABELLE.C collaborates with outstanding artists from Hong Kong and across regions, including renowned and emerging young artists, transforming original fine artworks into exclusive wearable art pieces. Through the brand’s innovative independent print-and-dye craftsmanship, the color gradients, spatial composition, brushwork and emotional temperament of original artworks are carefully reconstructed on premium heritage fabrics, including authentic Gambiered Canton Silk (Xiangyunsha).
Among these artistic collaborations, the artwork by Zhao Zhijing, Member of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC), Chairman of its Visual Arts Group, Executive Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Artists Association, and Chairman of the China International Ink Painting Society, has been translated onto precious heritage fabrics through the brand’s distinctive print-and-dye technique.

ISABELLE.C has also collaborated with Hong Kong emerging artists Isaac, Chen Taichen and Isabelle, Chen Qianyu, presenting their respective works In the Lone Starlight and In the First Light through the brand’s distinctive approach to wearable art. Both works were invited to be presented as part of a parallel exhibition of the 61st Venice Biennale, highlighting ISABELLE.C’s commitment to carrying forward cultural heritage through a new generation of artists.

This unique creative methodology breaks the boundaries between canvas art and wearable fashion, transforming precious heritage textiles into a medium for contemporary artistic expression while endowing each piece with artistic individuality, cultural depth and modern expressive power.Beyond art-driven print and dye creations, the brand adheres to collectible-level handcraft standards, focusing on inheriting and innovating rare Chinese intangible cultural heritage textiles and techniques. Every garment is elaborately crafted with top-tier traditional materials—including intricate Kesi tapestry, time-honored Shu and Song brocades, classic hand embroidery and vintage high-quality silk satin. These precious materials, carrying thousands of years of Chinese craft civilization and artisans’ ingenuity, lay the profound cultural foundation for the brand’s luxury positioning.

Discarding cumbersome traditional styling and rigid antique design, ISABELLE.C adopts minimalist contemporary silhouettes, precise bespoke tailoring and sophisticated structural design. It perfectly balances the classical charm of heritage textiles and the practical aesthetics of modern fashion, creating wearable, contemporary and collectible high-end works that allow global audiences to perceive the unique charm of Chinese intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship.

As a representative Hong Kong heritage fashion brand, ISABELLE.C takes inheritance and innovation as its core development concept. For the brand, traditional textiles and craftsmanship are not merely design materials, but precious cultural carriers that record generational artisans’ persistence and traditional Eastern aesthetics. It commits to protecting the integrity and authenticity of ancient craftsmanship, while empowering traditional heritage with trendy international expression through modern design innovation, letting Eastern elegance glow anew in the global fashion field.
Prior to the Fashion Night runway show, ISABELLE.C was officially invited to the Centennial Grand Fashion Gala hosted by the China Institute of America at The Pierre New York on September 8. The prestigious gala gathered distinguished guests including Yue-Sai Kan, Co-Vice Chair of the China Institute of America Board, Sophia Sheng, Board Vice Chair, and Dr. Jin Yu, President of the China Institute of America. A Gathering of Visionaries: An Exchange of Ideas on Chinese Fashion and Creativity
One of the most memorable encounters of the visit was an invitation for Ms. Xiong Jiawen, Founder of ISABELLE.C, to the private residence of Ms. Yue-Sai Kan. Having dedicated decades to cultural exchange between China and the United States, Ms. Kan has remained committed to sharing the beauty of Chinese culture with the world. In a warm and intimate setting, Chinese designers and founders of independent brands came together to share their creative perspectives and explore contemporary expressions of Chinese culture, fashion and heritage.
Among the guests were Guo Pei, a leading figure in Chinese haute couture; internationally renowned designer Vivienne Tam; and Juliet Guo, Founder of Sandriver, whose work has long championed traditional Chinese craftsmanship. Their conversations revealed a shared commitment to preserving cultural heritage while advancing contemporary creativity—and to bringing Chinese craftsmanship to a wider global audience.
From forging new connections to presenting their work alongside one another, these encounters made the New York visit more than a fashion event. They marked the beginning of new connections across creativity, culture and friendship.

Art, Heritage and Contemporary Fashion
From the fluidity of water to the blossoming of flowers and the powerful stride of horses, ISABELLE.C draws inspiration from nature, speaks through art and grounds its creative practice in the craftsmanship of intangible cultural heritage. Through this approach, the brand explores how tradition can find renewed expression in contemporary fashion.
When time-honoured craftsmanship meets contemporary design, when artworks become part of garments, and when Chinese aesthetics encounter the world in New York, culture becomes more than something to be observed. It becomes a living expression—continually evolving and inspiring new acts of creation.
This embodies the distinctive perspective that Hong Kong brings: an open, evolving space connecting East and West, tradition and modernity, and art and fashion.
By bringing art beyond the frame and intangible cultural heritage into fashion, ISABELLE.C seeks to share Chinese culture with the world through a contemporary creative language, enabling it to continue to flourish across borders.
ART IS FASHION.
The exploration of art, intangible cultural heritage and contemporary fashion continues. At Qingdao Fashion Week, ISABELLE.C will present fresh interpretations of traditional Chinese craftsmanship and contemporary art, creating new connections for cherished cultural memories across cities and cultural contexts.
