The brand’s Chinese name, “伊裳” (YīShǎng), flows gracefully alongside its English counterpart, Isa, symbolizing “a divine gift.” Drawing from the French word “belle,” meaning “beautiful,” and the emblematic letter C representing China, Culture, and Creativity, Isabelle.C is dedicated to bridging world-class design sensibilities with the refined aesthetics of the East. The brand’s namesake is inspired by the founder’s daughter, imbuing each collection with a personal, heartfelt narrative, aspiring to pass the legacy of intangible cultural heritage gracefully into the next generation.

Anchored deeply in the legacy of Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage, Isabelle.C reverently incorporates exquisite traditional textiles and craftsmanship, including Kesi (silk tapestry), Xiangyunsha (Gambiered Canton Silk), Zhengjuan (fine gauze silk), and a rich variety of Chinese brocades such as Song, Shu, Yun, Zhuang, and Tang brocades. These treasured materials are seamlessly reimagined within contemporary, sophisticated silhouettes. The brand eloquently fuses iconic Chinese design elements — from mandarin collars and cloud shoulders to classical buttons — with Western tailoring traditions, tweeds, and formalwear to create a harmonious “East + West” aesthetic that heralds a new era in Chinese national style.

With a deep passion since childhood and pursuit of art, the Founder integrates children’s drawings as well as renowned masterpieces into the garments, transforming them into wearable works of art. For example, she dyes children’s artwork onto luxurious Xiangyunsha silk, crafting exquisite clothing that embodies both tradition and contemporary elegance.
